It’s National Volunteers’ Week and Castle Cary Town Council would like to celebrate the contribution volunteers make to our community the wonderful, friendly place we belong to.
The Town Council has volunteers running the Information and Tourism office six mornings a week and last year saw 991 visitors and 2324 locals. They also give new residents in Ansford and Castle Cary a Welcome Pack full of information about our community. Castle Cary Town Council has many other volunteers to help keep the Horsepond clean and Footpath and Speedwatch volunteers. Earlier in the year the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset helped us celebrate the contribution the members of our community make through more than 30 active groups.
So, a big thank you to everyone who volunteers for our Council and in our community.
