Are you interested in bats, and want to help find out what species are active in Castle Cary? Or just fancy taking part in a bit of citizen science? Somerset Bat Group are helping us to run a local bat survey, as part of the annual Somerset Great Wildlife Count, on Saturday 10th August. All welcome (including children, if accompanied by an adult); equipment and training provided. We’ll meet at 8 pm for briefing and training, then survey for an hour after sunset, and meet again to view the results.
