Our site site is not normally open to the public so this is a great opportunity to visit our lovely nature reserve and see what we do. You’ll have a chance to go on a guided walk and learn about the history of the landfill and the vast array of wildlife that now lives here, visit our eco-buildings, go pond dipping and search for mini-beasts. There will be demonstrations of rural crafts, a chance to see our bee observation hive and explore the willow plantation and our neighbouring reserve at Carymarsh. Walk through the ‘waste tunnel’ and see what lurks beneath the landfill and visit the Fixy repair van and see what items can be recycled or repaired. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to tell you about Carymoor and how you can get involved with the work we do here. Refreshments will be available.
The event is £5 for adults and free to children under the age of 16 and the money will help to support this charitable Trust.
Tickets must be booked in advance – please use the link on the website www.carymoor.org.uk or phone 01963 350143
Once tickets are booked all the activities are free. Once you have booked a ticket you can then pre-book a guided walk.
