Caryford Hall Extension Funding Survey
Caryford Community Hall Trustees have approached Ansford Parish Council and Castle Cary Town Council to consider applying for a Public Works Loan to help fund the Phase 2 extension of Caryford Hall. If the application is approved by the Board, the two Councils would then make the funds available to Caryford Hall, and the repayments for the loan would commence. However, in order to receive the loan, both Councils must seek the necessary consents from parishioners living in Ansford and those in Castle Cary.
Castle Cary Town Council has proposed and resolved that they apply for up to 50% of the total loan with a maximum of £100,000. The loan from the PWLB would be at 4.5%, repayable over 20 years at £9,460 per annum. The resulting increase in precept contribution is shown below:

Consultation events will be held at Caryford Community Hall on:
Tuesday 6th December 5pm – 8pm
Saturday 10th December 10am – 1pm.
